  1. I dunno though, I wish they would switch it up a bit. It’s always the same people, with the same style of photography. Ferragamo did something similar a few months ago. The Blonde Salad- yaaaawn! I would rather it was people who actually know and wear the brand or can offer a creative take on it (just sayin…)

We have heard from a few people who enjoy the shoes and feel that they are more comfortable than regular shoes. The problem is that the shoes DO create extreme lateral instability and dramatically alter gait mechanics, which in many people is a dangerous thing, especially if they wear the shoes all day at work. Moreover, a pubslished scientific study has proven that the shoes DO NOT shape or tone you up. In fact, the shoes actually deactivate or reduce activity in certain muscles, including the gluteus maximus and the anterior tibialis. Skechers should warn consumers of the dangers of the shoes and not market them as harmless relacements for regular athletic shoes.
But despite having Keflezighi in its shoes, Skechers still had trouble in the early going getting its shoes into specialty retail stores and gaining credibility among longtime runners.
