  1. I dunno though, I wish they would switch it up a bit. It’s always the same people, with the same style of photography. Ferragamo did something similar a few months ago. The Blonde Salad- yaaaawn! I would rather it was people who actually know and wear the brand or can offer a creative take on it (just sayin…)

I wore the Sketchers Tone Ups for a couple months at the beginning of last year. I noticed they made my knees hurt more and my feet and ankles would get shooting pains, but figured it was all a result of getting used to being off balance. Mid-March, I was wearing them for a road trip, very closely witnessed an accident, and ran full out back to the scene (about a quarter mile). An hour later, when I was able to go back to my car, I could not wear them and haven't been able to since. The pain was intense, and I still (a year later) get intense pain in my ankles and feet in the same manner. I read everything there was to find on the shoes at the time and never found anything saying "Do NOT Run In These Shoes!" I wish it were otherwise.
The suit also includes a dilution count. Skechers claims that the GO WALK is “widely recognized by the general consuming public as a designation of the source of the goods as emanating from Skechers.” I’m not sure the Trademarkologists would agree that the GO WALK shoes are famous just yet…famously ugly perhaps. Skechers claims that Fila’s use of the GO WALK trade dress on the AMAZEN MEMORY MOC harms Skechers’ reputation by wrongly suggesting that the AMAZEN MEMORY MOC has some affilation or association with Skechers.
I’m still not so sure that the shoe wouldn’t work just as well, if not better, with a midsole of uniform thickness from heel to forefoot (perhaps retaining the undercut rear portion of the heel), but as I said above I found them a lot easier to run in than I expected. My hope is that Skechers will experiment a bit as I think they have a workable product to base future designs off of. As I told Kurt in my email to him, I think a shoe with a Go Run upper and a zero drop, Hattori-like sole would be pretty darned nice (and even better if they made that shoe for kids…).
