Anna Abrell

Anna Abrell is a postgraduate at the London College of Fashion studying MA Strategic Fashion Marketing. She currently works in the London branch of Decoded Fashion where she assists the event director, writes articles about current fashion/tech trends and handles part of the social media. Anna previously interned at Matthew Williamson under the head of digital, Rosanna Falconer. She studied psychology and business administration at undergraduate level and her main interests include luxury fashion marketing, omni-channel, e- and m-commerce and all things that combine fashion, technology and digital. Anna is German and Swiss, and currently calls London her home.

    I dunno though, I wish they would switch it up a bit. It’s always the same people, with the same style of photography. Ferragamo did something similar a few months ago. The Blonde Salad- yaaaawn! I would rather it was people who actually know and wear the brand or can offer a creative take on it (just sayin…)

What do you recommend for taking care of your shoes in the rain and the snow? How do I know what shoes are right for what conditions?
Wow! First of all they were just as light as the GOrunII shoes (only 4.5 oz per shoe) and even feature a very similar tread pattern. These were easy to slip on and the stretchy upper gave my toes tons of room to breathe and move. The upper is made of a soft chenille fabric that understands alot of us want to wear these barefoot. They are super comfortable. After four days of wear I don't have any blisters or hot spots. I can feel the ground beneath my feet but Skechers designed these so that even though you can still feel the ground it feels like you've got a ton of cushion underfoot. One neat feature of the GOwalk is a heel loop that allows you to grab this small hole and quickly pull the shoes on-great if you're a busy mom trying to keep up with her busy family!
Several readers asked if these slip-ons started to take on that sweaty-foot stink after time. I’m here to admit that yes, after wearing them on hot summer days in Houston when my feet got sweaty, they did start to take on that weird vinegar smell those of us with stinky feet are familiar with. However, because these shoes are highly washable, it’s really not an issue. I’ve now thrown mine into the washing machine with a load of clothes three times without experiencing any shrinkage or change in the shape or color of the shoe. After washing, I let them air dry which happens quickly since the body of the shoe is a neoprene-type material.
