  1. I dunno though, I wish they would switch it up a bit. It’s always the same people, with the same style of photography. Ferragamo did something similar a few months ago. The Blonde Salad- yaaaawn! I would rather it was people who actually know and wear the brand or can offer a creative take on it (just sayin…)

Time will tell as to how much I wind up liking the unusual midsole design, but I at least have to give the folks at Skechers credit for a bit of innovation – this shoe has a feel unlike that of any other shoe I have worn. Though it’s clearly not a barefoot-style shoe in terms of how it functions, it does seem to accomplish the goal of encouraging a midfoot strike. Is this a good or bad thing? Could be either I suppose depending on the person, and I hope they take a wiser marketing approach with this shoe and recognize the lack of certainty in the scientific literature about what is best for runners. Let’s not have another Shape-Ups mess. And let’s get some models who actually properly demonstrate what a shoe is supposed to do!

Just to let Brittany know, I don't wear high heels, and it is more than just a little bit of pain. I have scared family members because I would suddenly yelp in pain or be in tears because the pain would be so severe in my lower back and hip. I had to drive to South Carolina for my son's Marine graduation, and by the time I had to start that trip, I had to warn his girlfriend to ignore me if I made any sudden cries out in pain because I didn't want to worry her, and it did happen quite often. The pain shoots down to my knee and it is a miserable thing to deal with. I had no idea so many people were experiencing the exact same type of pain, so there must be something wrong with the design of these shoes.
