  1. I dunno though, I wish they would switch it up a bit. It’s always the same people, with the same style of photography. Ferragamo did something similar a few months ago. The Blonde Salad- yaaaawn! I would rather it was people who actually know and wear the brand or can offer a creative take on it (just sayin…)

A new class of debonair Jay Gatsbys has emerged to instant wealth (and, presumably, inevitable tragedy) this week, as the Federal Trade Commission began parceling out $40M in checks to idiotic lazy boneses all over this great land. Office workers; toll booth operators; big boned teen girls with body types that might be described as "athletic" (but not by an athlete)—all of them (509,175 in total) called up their bosses and said "I'm quitting my job because starting today, I am rich!"
I wore the Sketchers Tone Ups for a couple months at the beginning of last year. I noticed they made my knees hurt more and my feet and ankles would get shooting pains, but figured it was all a result of getting used to being off balance. Mid-March, I was wearing them for a road trip, very closely witnessed an accident, and ran full out back to the scene (about a quarter mile). An hour later, when I was able to go back to my car, I could not wear them and haven't been able to since. The pain was intense, and I still (a year later) get intense pain in my ankles and feet in the same manner. I read everything there was to find on the shoes at the time and never found anything saying "Do NOT Run In These Shoes!" I wish it were otherwise.
Federal regulators announced on Wednesday that Skechers had agreed to pay $40 million to settle complaints that the company deceived consumers with claims that some of its sneakers — from the Shape-Ups, Resistance Runner, Toners and Tone-Ups lines, endorsed by celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Brooke Burke — could deliver toned legs, better buttocks and a slimmer body “without setting a foot in a gym.”
