  1. I dunno though, I wish they would switch it up a bit. It’s always the same people, with the same style of photography. Ferragamo did something similar a few months ago. The Blonde Salad- yaaaawn! I would rather it was people who actually know and wear the brand or can offer a creative take on it (just sayin…)

My only concern with the shoe is the potential of its lifespan. Skechers has stripped this shoe down to the basics, in order to keep it light and minimal. The upper and midsole are great, but I noticed some early wear on the outsole, especially in the heel. I have only logged about 40 miles in the shoe, and it’s holding up fine. Yet, my caveat to mileage hogs is that this shoe may need to be replaced before the traditional 300-500 mile benchmark.
Another Skechers ad said its Resistance Runner shoes could raise muscle activation by 68 percent in the calves, 71 percent in the buttocks and 85 percent in “posture-related muscles.” The trade commission said Skechers “cherry-picked results and failed to substantiate” those claims.
So, the first run was a mix of good and bad – the shoe performed a lot better than I expected, but the blistering was a problem. Yesterday I went for a second run in the shoes, this time with socks and a bit of Skin Strong lubricant applied generously to the blistered regions of my foot. I can’t necessarily say it was the shoes (the Fall-like weather certainly didn’t hurt!), but my run yesterday was the best I’ve had in months. I did a fairly hilly 10.27 miles at an average pace of 7:10/mile. Here are my mile splits: 8:11-7:54-7:25-7:07-6:56-7:01-7:06-7:04-6:42-6:24-6:12 (final quarter mile).
