  1. I dunno though, I wish they would switch it up a bit. It’s always the same people, with the same style of photography. Ferragamo did something similar a few months ago. The Blonde Salad- yaaaawn! I would rather it was people who actually know and wear the brand or can offer a creative take on it (just sayin…)

3) I am definitely overweight and need to get back to being active…difficult to do when you feel pain to begin with.
Time will tell as to how much I wind up liking the unusual midsole design, but I at least have to give the folks at Skechers credit for a bit of innovation – this shoe has a feel unlike that of any other shoe I have worn. Though it’s clearly not a barefoot-style shoe in terms of how it functions, it does seem to accomplish the goal of encouraging a midfoot strike. Is this a good or bad thing? Could be either I suppose depending on the person, and I hope they take a wiser marketing approach with this shoe and recognize the lack of certainty in the scientific literature about what is best for runners. Let’s not have another Shape-Ups mess. And let’s get some models who actually properly demonstrate what a shoe is supposed to do!
While the upper is not the best match for my personal taste, I really like the sole of the Strada. The feel is quite soft underfoot, particularly under the heel (this softness was even maintained in the cold temps of winter). I’d compare it to a shoe like the Nike Pegasus (more on this comparison below). I’ve done a lot of miles in these and they feel great out on the road. The Strada is not a speed shoe, but if you want a cushy ride to eat up long miles, this sole will do the job.
